Time calculator: how long does applying take you now?

Enter your own figures. The calculator assumes nothing about time saved: you choose the after figure, so the result is only ever your estimate.

01Where can I find documentation?
Start with the guides on this page, which explain the seven tools, how gaps become interview preparation, using AI in your search and your data rights. The Features page walks through each tool, and the help centre answers common questions about using the product.
02Do you publish guidance on using AI in a job search?
Yes. The AI Transparency notice sets out where AI is used, what it can and cannot do, and how human oversight works. The Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled and how you exercise your rights. Both are written to be read.
03Is there a getting started guide?
The first steps are the same for everyone: paste or upload your resume, add a job description, then run the scanner. The templates for CV layouts, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles and interview answers give you a consistent starting structure.
04How do I report a security issue?
Email security@careerstudio.io and please do not include personal data in your first message. Our Privacy Policy sets out hosting, security measures and retention, and clearly marks anything that is still being confirmed.
05Where do I read about product updates?
When a change significantly reduces what a paid plan offers, customers are told in advance, as the Terms of Use set out. Important changes to our legal terms are announced by email or in the product before they take effect.
06How do I get help?
Start with the help centre on this page, which covers your first scan, why a requirement is marked unclear and how to change a suggestion. For anything else, use the contact page. Complaints have their own process, described on our Complaints page, so they are tracked and answered properly.
07How do I start my first scan?
Paste or upload your resume, add the job description, and run the ATS scanner. You get a score, the keywords it found and the gaps, with your own resume text beside each one.
08Why is a requirement marked unclear?
Your resume touches on it without enough detail to call it evidenced, for example “led a team” against a mentoring requirement. A question is suggested so you can add the detail or prepare to speak to it.
09How do I change a suggestion?
Every suggestion is yours to accept, edit or ignore. Nothing is applied to your resume until you say so, and you can change it again later.
